ZipScan Privacy Policy

Effective: August 13, 2026

The short version: ZipScan collects no data. None.

What happens on your device, stays on your device

ZipScan scans documents, recognizes text (OCR), and creates PDFs entirely on your iPhone or iPad, using Apple's on-device frameworks. Your documents, scans, and their text content are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to us or to any third party by the app.

No accounts, no analytics, no tracking

ZipScan has no user accounts, no server, no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no crash-reporting SDKs. We do not collect personal information, usage data, device identifiers, or diagnostics.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. We do not receive your name, payment details, or billing address. Purchase entitlements are verified on-device through Apple's StoreKit.

Sharing

When you choose to share or save a PDF (for example to Mail, Files, or another app), the document goes only where you send it, using Apple's standard iOS share mechanism. That destination's own privacy policy then applies.

Camera access

ZipScan requests camera access solely to scan documents. Camera frames are processed on-device and are not stored except as the scans you deliberately capture.

Children

ZipScan does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Since the app collects nothing, we expect changes to be rare.
